SHEA'S WEEKLY SCHEDULE 5/21-25
A DAY: M, W, F
French
Chemistry
B DAY: Tu, Th
B DAY: Tu, Th
US History
Algebra II
English
What Happened Tuesday:
US History - Shea electronically submitted her topic (Journalism in Vietnam) and thesis questions. Per the syllabus the next step in the project is:
5/25, 5/29 - All students must submit written evidence of research of four sources [annotations] with proper MLA citations (Shea's next US History class after tomorrow is Tu 5/29)
Also, Mr. M replied to an email I sent recently saying the following regarding Shea's Cold War essay:
I have not graded her essay yet, but I have read it. It looks much better than her last essay, and I can tell she spent much more time planning and writing it. Excellent progress!
Alg II - Ms B was out. Shea said the sub went over the HW due (worksheet 2.10). She needs to brush up on simplifying radical equations, but she did show an understanding of the process before she left for school on Tu. She has a rule of 4 assignment due on Th. It looks very similar to work she's been doing for weeks but she plans to go over it w/ Ms. Ryan or Cook in LS today. Ms. Ryan cannot come for a tutor session until Fri at earliest. Will contact her today to work out a schedule, and I will work with Shea tonight to help her complete her HW.
Ms. B replied to an email I sent on Mon by saying she plans to grade Shea's Review Quiz and QUEST retake when all students have submitted their work. It sounds like she will be grading the work shortly.
English - Shea complained about not having her phone but said she was able to record her podcast with her teammates. Shea said that her teammates did their part and therefore they are up to date on the assignment. She also said that there is no HW for Th.
Work Completed Tue Night:
French - She said she continued working on her French presentation. She is done with everything except organizing the 2-min French speaking section of the presentation. Ms. B replied to an email saying that she will not be in class on Wed (helping with hiring of new French teacher) but that Shea can do her presentation for full credit on Fri. (They will have class on Fri as French is 1st period and will be held before the assembly). She will finish her prep tonight and/or tomorrow. Also Ms. B said that Shea got an 81 on the recent vocab quiz.
Chemistry - She seemed to spend a good deal of time on her TOA (though I didn't see a lot of content on the assignment in Google Docs). Nonetheless, it seems that she did what is required:
Work to Complete Wed Night:
US History - continue work on Vietnam project (research and sources due Tu 5/29)
Alg II - Rule of 4 Worksheet (if not done in LS):
English - None
French - finish French speaking section of presentation. Shea can then do a dry run of the presentation Th night.
Chemistry - Worksheet on Solubility Curves (due Wed 5/30).
