SHEA'S WEEKLY SCHEDULE 5/7-11

A DAY: M, W, F
French
Chemistry

B DAY: Tu, Th
US History
Algebra II
English

What Happened Wednesday:
French: Shea took the verb conjugation quiz--she said she was ready for it last night but she got a 60/100.  I emailed Ms. Bender to see when Shea can review the quiz to see what she did incorrectly.

Shea has a worksheet due on Fri (worksheet 179-181).

Fri HW assignment:

(5 pgs, but only the first 3 need to be completed)

Ms. B responded to my email - quiz  (60/100) will be available Fri - Shea actually has the original copy already in her French folder and we will go over it Th night. Ms. B also said that Shea did not turn in a HW assignment today:

I'll return them to the students in class on Friday. We'll go over it then. It was a fast 10 question quiz..she needs to review the verb endings for regular subjunctive verbs.

Here is the project students are working on now (attached).

HW: Worksheet pp 179-181

HW due today (research on Paris in 19th century and the art world) not handed in today.

Here's how Ms. B described the missing assignment in an email from Monday, 5/7:

...Also, students did research in the media center about Paris in the second half of the 19th century  and Impessionism as an art movement.(she has the ws guide). We will be discussing these topics in class tomorrow...

Shea said the document shown below is the worksheet guide for the research project.  She said that she completed it (in purple ink) but could not find it when it was due in class.  We found the blank copy in her French folder and Shea said she'd be able to complete it Th night and hand it in on Fri in class,  I emailed Ms. B to see if she will accept it on Fri.  (Shea said she'd email Ms. B but was a bit frazzled when she said this so there's a chance she may forget).

Lastly, Shea has a long-term French project due on 5/21 (powerpoint presentation on French artists).

Chemistry: Handed in Lab Analysis - Rocket Trajectory - expecting some deductions for lack of different variables and her explanation of relationship b/t Chemistry and Physics, but at least the entire assignment was completed.  Unfortunately Mr. J posted a quiz from 4/30 (two Monday's back) and Shea got a 50/100.  She seemed to understand her Manometer/Barometer HW so it will be interesting to see where she went wrong on the quiz.  I emailed Mr. J to see how soon Shea can get the test for review.

Syllabus shows a quiz on 4 gas laws on Friday, Shea will study Thur night

Math Lab:  Shea finished the Review Quiz #1 today.  Yeah!  Also cleared up whether Worksheet 2.4 was turned in - Ms. R said Shea gave it to her Monday and Ms. R put it in Ms. B's mailbox.

Work Due Tomorrow:
US History - DBQ work due (this is step by step work to compose an essay, the essay is due on Monday)

Alg II - Worksheet 2.8 item #3 graphing - Ms. R worked with Shea on this;
Shea also finished corrections to QUEST for retake next week, Shea will get Math Lab sign off on this and then be set to retake the QUEST exam;  Once this is done only left is study and take QUEST retake - retake will be Tu during Math Lab?  I will review some material with Shea over the w/e and Ms R will on Monday to help Shea prepare.

Thur HW Alg II - Worksheet 2.8, Item #3

English - no HW (thank you Mr. N!)

Work Due Friday:
French - 3 pg worksheet (pp. 179-181) shown above; plus hand in missing assignment from Wed (if we are able to find out what exactly is due!)

Chemistry - quiz on 4 gas rules.
